Privacy Policy – EasyCal
1. Overview
EasyCal is a calorie and nutrition tracking tool operated by MinimumDots (Vancouver, BC). This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
Account info - Email address, name, profile picture (collected when you sign in via Google)
Personal profile - Age, gender, weight, height, goal weight, daily exercise minutes (collected when you set up your profile)
Food logs - Food name, portion size, calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar, sodium, nutriscore, nova group, barcode (collected when you log a meal)
Exercise logs - Exercise name, duration, calories burned (collected when you log exercise)
We do not collect IP addresses, device information, or browsing analytics.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Estimate calories and nutritional content from your food descriptions
- Log and display your daily food intake and exercise history
- Calculate personalized daily nutrition targets (BMR, TDEE, macros) based on your profile
- Look up product nutrition by barcode
- Maintain weekly snapshots of your nutrition targets for progress tracking
4. Tool Inputs & Outputs (OpenAI GPT Integration)
EasyCal operates as a custom GPT action. Here is what data flows through this integration:
Inputs (sent from you → OpenAI → EasyCal server):
- Nutrition estimates derived by the GPT from your food description or photo (text values only — images are never sent to EasyCal)
- Product barcodes
- Profile information (age, weight, height, gender, activity level)
- Commands to log, update, or delete food and exercise entries
Outputs (sent from EasyCal server → OpenAI → you):
- Estimated calories and macronutrient breakdown (protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar, sodium)
- Daily intake summaries with totals vs. targets
- Exercise summaries with calories burned
- Profile and nutrition target confirmations
5. Third-Party Recipients
OpenAI - Food descriptions, nutrition estimates, profile data, food/exercise logs. Powers the conversational GPT interface that processes your requests.
OpenFoodFacts - Product barcodes. Looks up nutrition information for packaged foods.
WorkOS — Authentication tokens. Manages sign-in and identity verification.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
6. Data Retention
Food photos: EasyCal's server never receives or stores food images. Photos are processed entirely by OpenAI's GPT. Only the resulting text-based nutrition estimates are sent to our server.
Account data, food logs, exercise logs: Retained for as long as your account is active.
Weekly nutrition snapshots: Retained for as long as your account is active.
After account deletion: All personal data, food logs, exercise logs, and nutrition snapshots are permanently deleted within 30 days of your request.
7. Your Rights & Controls
Correction: You can update your profile and modify or delete food and exercise entries directly within EasyCal
Access & Export: Request a copy of your data by emailing hi@dailydoses.ai
Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hi@dailydoses.ai
Requests sent by email are processed within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
EasyCal is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
